Howdy.

I've been drawing in little black sketchbooks for as long as I can remember— mostly people in urban settings. In the late 1990s I got my first flip-phone. Despite the truly gritty quality it quickly became a 'digital' go-to extension to my 'analog' sketchbook drawings— capturing sublime to ridiculous moments in real-time— a digital pen on a virtual cocktail napkin.

In 2009 I launched, cellphoneSketchpad™— mobile journal, cyber comic, digital rorschach— and for the next ten years, published one image per day— a daily visual journal of observations— photos and drawings.

Today my art explores combining the digital and analog— drawing and mobile photography. Technology has fostered a cross-device ecosystem that enables me to create whenever and wherever I want. They say the best camera is the one you have with you— that would be my cellphone— and for me it is an entire mobile studio!
